Springfield, Mo--United Way of the Ozarks has rallied multiple volunteer groups to assist participating United Way agencies like Habitat for Humanity of Springfield on Thursday, August 23, during the annualDay of Caring. Three groups of volunteers will work for one day on Habitat projects in Springfield. City Utilities, Regal Beloit, and Global University will send volunteers to roll up their sleeves and offer help with home renovations at the Legacy Trails Subdivision, 3805 N. Farm Rd. 143, as well as with projects at the Habitat ReStore, 2410 S. Scenic Ave.

Habitat for Humanity of Springfield is pleased to announce a dedication ceremony of the second home being built in the “Six by Six” Challenge – sponsored by Bank of America and the Missouri State Habitat Chapter, in partnership with the Pengilly family. Kickoff is in Habitat’s low-impact subdivision, Legacy Trails – 3801 N. Farm Road 143 – at 6pm
